Locate the small reset button on the back of the DUALSHOCK®, located near the L2 button. Sometimes connecting issues are caused by internet router WIFI signals, unplugging it will help troubleshoot the connection issue. Unplug your router or modem from the power source.Turn off your PS4™ and unplug it from the power source. It’s more than likely a simple router cache issue, try this before all the other trouble shooting, too easy: Hope this helps as it took a while to find all this. So just keep changing cables if the pc is not picking up the controller (or change USB ports). If any other buttons are faulty it will show up on that test page. Waited in post took apart my controller changed films and bingo!! Works perfectly fine. So I went into ebay and bought the 'conductive film for ps4 buttons controller'. I found my PS button (that turns the controller on) was faulty!!! It did not show up as to it working when pressing that button but all other buttons worked. > select 'Properties' -> make sure your in the 'TEST' tab up the top.

Here is how you can easily find and fix this problem. It ended up being a faulty conductive film that stopped working properly. my controller would flash yellow once then not respond again unless plugged in or reset. I am posting this on each thread to get more notice.Solved!! So. So, I am here wondering if or when anything will be done? The issue seems to be on EA's side (no surprise), not Origin. This wasn't a problem and now it is which is sad.

So, I am wondering when/HOPEFULLY there will be a new patch to PLEASE fix this issue as all we wanted to do is play Madden on the PC together.
#Inputmapper ds4 lost after disconnect update#
Point being, the issue is caused by the update as it was not a problem prior to it. Restarted computer, using different applications for mapping the controller, repairing the game files, uninstalled the game and reinstalled, using the game from the steam library with PS4 configuration for controller, Updated all drivers, testing multiple controllers and cords, unplugging and re-plugging everything, and various other methods from YouTube and Reddit. My friends and I have tried EVERYTHING to somehow make a solution for this issue. If you look on reddit, it is very prevalent there, and I have seen a couple forums elsewhere as well. Many others are experiencing this same problem. I have deleted the patch file and restarted the game and everything worked fine relating to the controller but the game would crash, likely because of not having the patch files running. There was a patch rolled out recently (maybe a couple days after the release of the game) and immediately after this update, the mapping of the controller for PS4 is bugged. We played Madden 19 last year and experienced no problems using a PS4 remote that we all used Inputmapper for to map it as a 360 controller.

We all have computers that can easily run Madden and all drivers are updated. A bunch of friends and I bought the early access for Madden 20.
